Lastly, there was something about the writing style that seemed overly dramatic. There really isn't actually that much action that takes place in a story with so many pages, but the author tries to move the book along with tension created through the feelings and motivations of the characters. While I can appreciate that writing style, here it didn't interest me as much. My expectations might have had something to do with my disappointment; as I was expecting more of a clever-twist type of brilliant murderer mystery; while this one was almost more of a social-commentary episode of a murder investigation show like CSI.I think overall I would have to give it about a 3.3 / 5, but I could definitely see how readers that are more familiar with the characters from other books might give it a higher rating.
